It can be basically described as an Air Force base operated by the USA army. Whereas, it is also a census designated place east of Dayton, Ohio. The area of this base is known to cover both wright and Patterson fields. Initially, these used to be Wilbur Wright Field and Fairfield Aviation General Supply Depot. Evidently, the host unit that occupies this base is the 88th Air Base Wing. Additionally, they are assigned with the duties at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Centre and Air Force Materiel Command.

Evidently, on February 28th 2024 a wreckage causing dangerous tornado unfortunately struck the Ohio State of the USA. This is the same complex which was getting used for working on the only surviving B-17D Flying Fortress. The work was still in progress when this disaster struck.
